Fisheries and Aquatic Habitat Assessment

Throughout the life cycle, many species of fish migrate among different habitats. Striped bass, salmon, herring, shad, and eel are common examples of migratory fish. Currently numerous wildlife agencies, both federal and state, oversee fish passage and protection projects the benefit both migratory and resident fish species, as well as other aquatic living resources. Our Team is widely respected for its conceptual and final design work for fish passage facilities and its biological assessments relating to fish passage and entrainment at project sites throughout the country. Terrawest Conservancy integrates fisheries biologists, regulatory specialists, and engineers to provide an exceptional capacity for solutions involving the mitigation of fisheries impacts and enhancement of fisheries resources. Our team has provided conceptual and final design for fish passage facilities including fish lifts, fishways, fish ladders, and downstream passage systems. This experience has earned Terrawest a reputation as a leader in fish passage, enhancement and protection services in the nation.
